On 1 November 2022, Somta Tools reached an agreement with Korloy to promote and support its carbide insert and tool holder ranges in the African market. Combined with Somta’s round tool program, we are now able to offer to offer a complete cutting tool solution to our customers throughout Africa which is in line with our mission of becoming the undisputed leader of machining solutions in Africa.

Korloy, established in South Korea in 1966, is a world renowned brand specialising in Tool Holders and Inserts for turning, milling and multipurpose; both with a full line-up of ISO standard and special tools. Korloy offers solutions for the Aerospace, Automotive, Shipbuilding, Mold & Die, Railroad & Rail Wheel Industries as well as Special Industry Application products for the Pipe, Bearing, Roll and Gear Machining, Power Generation, Defense and Medical Industry.
